What are buyers schools and sellers schools

Schools that allocate a certain amount of budget to offer financial aid or discounts to people who might not need it are called “buyers”. They buy their students. In opposite, sellers schools (typically the top 50 or so) do not have to lure students in and provide financial support to the least financially privileged.

Usually, the advice is to apply to a mixture of those schools. That will maximize your chances to get admitted and to get financial help.
