What options do I have to pay for college?

College price tag in US is high (very high!) but there are also various ways you can get help to pay for it. However, it is not given!. Which means, you will have to do you research and find the money yourself.
Here are five common ways to pay for college.

  1. Family money. Ask if your parents/grandparents/extended family members can pay and what amount. To figure out that "amount" is critical!
  2. Pay yourself. Think if you can cover part of the cost by holding a part-time job.
  3. Merit or sport based scholarships. They can be provided by charity organizations, colleges themselves, or even yours or your parents employer.
  4. Military serves.
